Goa or Noa

This may seem trivial though I’ve noticed a split w/ our media on the pronunciation of their last name.

Is it Maui-Goa or Maui-Noa.

The g sound is pronounced with a "ng." When pronouncing the name it is has three syllables, Mau-i-goa. The "g" is not pronounced the same as "go" or "no" but rather the "ng" sound. So it would be pronounced Mau-i-ngoa. Hope that helps fellas lol.

I still don’t get it. If “g” is pronounced as “ng,” how is ng pronounced? Is it “ing”? If so, how would one pronounce “ngoa” as a single syllable? I have been hearing announcers say mau-we-no-ah all season. I am presuming the Mauigoa boys have had input for this question.
