Would want both Gibson and Town. Agree that Gibson would be big recruiting plus and could be monster at other positions. Town is more traditional UM QB, but since we seem destined to have weak defense, maybe we should change offense too. Good write up

I was watching both Gibson and sunshine throw today at SFE practice and the potential for both young men is high but the athleticism of Gibson with being able to turn a broken play into something with his legs is such a hard thing to pass up especially as he gets more time at QB and becomes more natural.

Wimbush has more interest in UM then you think. Also SPP stud CB/S Minkah Fitz has high interest in UM. You will all laugh, but Donofrio has a great relationship with the HC form St. Peters Prep. I could see us land one if not both. The pipeline in northern NJ is real.

Little nug for you fellas: Not sure if mentioned, but it was Jedd Fischmaster that found and offered Town. The kid was under the radar at the time bc he played on JV. Fisch knew whats up... he recruited Mahalak and Town personally.

I brought that info to the board last year lol. In the long run it won't matter how good of a relationship they have. HC doesn't hold the keys to their recruitment.

I know Wimbush is high on Miami. I never said he wasn't. But we've been high on a lot of guys list and not gotten the prospect. Wimbush and Franklin have a great relationship and with franklin going to psu that bumped them ahead of us. His mom was a track star at psu. Wimbush has been to Miami's campus since summer, while he has been to multiple OSU games this year. Urban Meyer has also visited him at school multiple times.

Fact of the matter is if he were to make a decision soon it would not be Miami.

with our incredible offensive line prospects, there will not be any "broken" plays.

ever.

Pretty sure Mahalak was the one who was on JV at the time when Fisch found him, not Town.

That is correct. And not to be that guy, but the staff didn't really find him. He came across the country to camp and that's how they first found out about him. Mahalak was more of a find.

Don't stop there.

Let's see if Jimmy Graham has any eligibility left.

Let's see if Eddie Goldman wants to transfer here.

Let's see if we can get Vernon Haergreaves

Still waiting on a post for DLinemen! We've heard about these skill kids so much I think I know them. Secondly we already see FSU, Gayters and others getting 40% of the best talent in the State of Miami. That's not good, but when you consider we can't reciprocate that imbalance in their areas and OOS (4/5 Stars) then that's where the problem becomes compounded. FSU has already plucked Tyrek Cole (probably best CB in SoFL) and Calvin Brewton who was always highly regarded. Now I hear the best SoFl QB next season, after not offering the best QB this year in SoFL Sean White, complaining "that he is "disappointed" in the lack of pursuit from Miami's end. Heritage sources have told me that he is frustrated with Miami at the moment". That does little for my confidence that we'll be able to keep the beat QB home.

Excellent work, HurricaneGlory. It's much appreciated.

Gibson has told outlets that he is "disappointed" in the lack of pursuit from Miami's end. Heritage sources have told me that he is frustrated with Miami at the moment. Highly regarded quarterbacks tend to commit by mid-summer and stay firm with their commitment throughout the process. In order to acquire Gibson's services, Miami must make up ground.

Hopefully we turn the heat up and go all-in to try to land Gibson in the coming weeks, even though there's plenty of ground that apparently needs to be made up. Potential program changer.

When he comes to Jr. Day tomorrow, I expect the coaches to make him well aware that he is wanted at UM. The coaches will definitely show him the "love" he's looking for

@quick_tg6: Miami Hurricanes feels like home 🙌 #CanesNation
