“It's called getting beat by a better football team. Wisconsin was a touchdown favorite for a reason. The Badgers had statistically the best defense in the nation and a 2,000 yard rusher. Miami had a great season. The Canes won 10 games and the Coastal Division. That's something that has never been done since UM joined the ACC. Quite frankly, the Canes overachieved. They're actually way ahead of schedule. Miami is on the right track with Mark Richt. Unfortunately, a lot of Cane fans either lack patience or just don't understand the game.

If you don't like Malik Rosier, that's fine. You're entitled to your opinion and you are free to criticize. But I will not tolerate anyone making personal attacks or using derogatory language on a college athlete or anyone else here. Please conduct yourself with class or go someplace else. Thank you.”

3rd-43,

I am intrigued, please explain why you down voted a comment from a blog moderator/owner who advised his members; "If you don't like Malik Rosier, that's fine. You're entitled to your opinion and you are free to criticize. But, I will not tolerate anyone making personal attacks or using derogatory language on a college athlete or anyone else here. Maybe, you don't like his observation; "Unfortunately, a lot of Cane fans either lack patience or just don't understand the game."

Now, I realize that no matter what I post you down vote (which, is fine), so maybe this was just another one of those mindless down clicks or did he hit too close to home?

Maybe he downvoted this because there's no context. What is this from? What site posted this? Are you saying we should abide by those rules as well?

I haven't seen personal attacks on him. He sucks. He seems like a great person that worked hard for the U and was the best option we had this year at QB. It's a tough situation because he wouldn't be the QB with any real competition. But he was not good enough to take us to the next level.

You haven't seen personal attacks on Rosier...please accept my sincere condolences for your blindness (hopefully someone will read this to you). Helen Keller once said; "Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved." I hope this brings you at least some solace.

As for no context...the title of this thread is the blog in which the comments I re-posted originated. Again, from the heart, I am sorry about your lack of vision.

And yes, as crazy as this may be, I believe we should all abide by those civilized rules (I confess to having called some of my fellow posters some naughty names), thus displaying at least a modicum of human decency. As a for instance, let's say you have a 20 year old son and people are saying on a public forum that he "sucks", would you find that a wee bit disturbing? Especially, coming from people who claim to be boosters/fans of your son's athletic team. Or, would you be perfectly fine with your family reading those words, along with your friends, co-workers, neighbors, et al.?

PS; When you say Rosier "SUCKS" does that qualify as a personal insult in your sightless world?

Jeez how old are you? You know there are millions of blogs, articles, forums, etc out there right? How in the **** is anyone supposed to know that's from some blog?

How would that be a personal insult? I suck at football too, is that saying anything about my character? No. You suck at posting, but you seem like a nice guy, aside from calling me blind. Is calling me blind not a personal attack? Do you not live by your own exalted standards?

Well, if your family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, et al., take offense to me suggesting you are blind because you haven't seen the countless personal attacks leveled at Malik, other players and all of the coaches then I offer my apologies.

The 'Ghosts of the Orange Bowl' site is a well known blog that offers fantastic insights concerning everything that ever took place at the Orange Bowl. Additionally, they do interesting bios on Canes players of all generations and many other athletes who had a connection to the stadium.

The gentleman who owns and operates the site has an encyclopedic (Google) knowledge of sports and regularly posts things that have sadly been long forgotten. Many times you will find yourself thinking...I always wondered what happened to that guy, team, etc.

As for my age...5 years ago I stopped buying green bananas.
