We obviously need help finding someone that can come in and put players in position to win. We need someone that knows his X's and O's that can grill a coach and find the right fit for us.

What is Art Briles being paid?

Well Briles wouldn't come to Miami if you paid him 3 Million. He is getting paid almost half a million more than Golden. Baylor just built a dynamic on campus stadium. They are defending Big 12 champions. They are rolling. Why would he take a step down to come to Miami, make less, cost of living is more, and have to play the south florida diva recruiting game?

Golden is the 46th highest paid coach in America, so if you want to see what administration is serious about football...He is the 7th highest paid HC in the ACC, or was last year anyways. You guys better be glad he has improved the talent level, improved the facilities dramatically, so that the program is much more attractive in 2014 than it was in 2010 or 2011. College football is an arms race now, and Miami was waaaaay behind. Golden has helped close the gap some, but it is a battle being at a small private school with more limited resources than large state schools with huge alumni bases.

Jimmy Johnson likes Al Golden. Forget the UM connections or the #UFamily....that **** is old and tired and clearly hasn't worked for us in over a decade. We need someone with 0 ties to the program. Bring me Scott Frost or Chad Morris along with a hungry *** lower level SEC DC and then you'll see the improvement over night with our team.

If we ran an offense like Oregon we would be the most unstoppable offense in football.

Find someone at a lower tier college that is winning with less and is an innovative X and O coach. Find someone like Oregon did in Chip Kelly.

Jimmy and Al are fishing buddies and he's said numerous times Al will bring us back...LULZ. We could hire Butch as HC, Clappy as OC and Radio at DC all for what just Golden is making and all three would be elated. Give Butch 1 mill and the other two 1/2 mill each and we back!! Sounds good right? Lol

As much as I like Jimmy as a coach, his recommendation didn't work out so good for the Dolphins.

Jimmy hasn't been part of CFB since the '80s. He is decidedly not the guy to assist with picking a potential successor.

As I recall, he was consulted on our last two hires, and endorsed both.

Right, because Jimmy Johnson is really tied into college football these days.

Some of you people really need to join us here in the future.

Too busy drinking Heineken.

Bring in an Xs and Os guy on either side of the ball. A real one not some *** that's posted 2 top 20 defenses in his career and passes himself and his butt buddy off as defensive gurus.

This. Leave jimmy alone. Blake James needs to compile a list and know what to look for. That's what he's paid for

You guys are all kidding yourselves. As much as it hurts, you all know AG is here for the long haul no matter what his record is on the field.

I want somebody who has been there done that. I'm not looking for another guy who won at a terrible school ala Golden at Temple. Give me Greg Schiano and I'd be the happiest guy on the planet. Although I wouldn't be upset with Chad Morris.

I like Morris but in 2nd half against uGa the other day his offense had 6 of 7 possessions of 3 and out!

He would be getting drilled at canesinsight for that.

Schiano has "been there, done that"? What exactly has "he done"?

Been a head coach in a BCS conference, won in a BCS conference, 5-1 in bowl games, head coach in the NFL. The guy has been around the block, has UM ties, familiar with the college game but has nfl experience. Realistically speaking he's one of the best options if Golden gets the boot.

I think the administration should use their biggest assets to find a new coach and those assets are the ex coaches and players that have connections and know a thing or two about the game. Instead of paying millions of dollars to a search committee that ends up getting us golden.
