Gary Patterson

You guys are dumb as rocks if you doubt Gary's coaching ability. He is one of the best coaches in the business. I live near TCU and you guys have no clue what that program was before Gary arrived.

TCU was the KU of the southwest conference. Absolutely no football tradition(not counting the '30's with Davey O'Brien as qb, as it was the segregation era). He built that program from ground up to being a consistent top 25 type team with 2 and 3 star talent Texas, OU, A&M, TT didn't want.

Moreover, he had to kick out one of his best players in Kavonte Turpin last week and his Qb is hurt. Because TCU doesn't attract the best recruits, even though they are recruiting better lately, they are prone to a bad season every 5 years or so. This is there bad season.

Great coach but you have to question his drive. He was just content to sit at TCU, win 8 games, and not deal with the pressure of big time jobs.

Do you guys sit around and wait for certain coaches/players to have a bad year so you can make a point?
Are we really implying that Patterson, who made TCU relevant while using second tier talent, is a coRch?

Mannnnnn. LOL

This happens weekly. The best is when you have a CORCH THREAD after the first quarter and said team/coach ends up coming back and winning.
The people on this forum aren't too bright, brother. Some of the bozos on this forum would trash Patterson but would pound the table for Kliff Kingsbury or Lane Kiffin as our next head coach.

Patterson is a top coach. TCU’s program went from the Mountain West/WAC to Power 5 because of him. He will have his down seasons but always rebounds with several excellent seasons in a row.

He’s never leaving TCU. I’ve read, without real sources, he has backend deals with Texas oil money that kick in if he stays at TCU until he retires. No sources, true, but explain why he’s never left? He’s been a highly regarded coach for 20 years.

Anything to defend their corch hero Mork Rick.

Its truly amazing how dug in and stupid many of these people are.

His starting QB is out for the season with a dislocated shoulder & TCU is having a down year this season.

Doesn't mean he's a bad coach.

TCU's had some up and down seasons. But when they're up, man they're up. Gary Patterson also has to recruit against the likes of UT, A&M and Oklahoma as well as LSU and Bama occasionally going to Texas. In short, Patterson's a good coach, his squad's just not having a good year.
