G Tech at Colorado Buffs

If this was College Football 26, Haynes King’s “wear and tear” would be completely done for the season

You know what’s crazy? Their offensive coordinator used to be an air raid guy, then went to Georgia as analyst, then he went to Georgia Tech and got with Brett Key and concocted this Frankenstein offense that’s a ***** to prepare for. Those long running drives they have would **** me off if I’m an opposing OC. They hold the ball forever. You get the ball go 3 and out or the drive gets stalled and you have to punt now they hold it forever again and just like that the quarter is over

i was told that running the ball to use clock doesn't help your team. i saw it on a message borad called canesinsight.

IF you can be successful, it is an antidote to "air raid" high play count offensive attacks.

If you want to be in tight, low scoring games, it helps to control the clock. If you want to actually beat bad teams by multiple touchdowns, it’s better to focus on just scoring as much as you can. It really depends on the talent you have. If you’re not the most explosive offense but you have a solid defense, ball control can help you win games.

There’s a reason why the service academies can compete but never win championships.

The guy always looks tired and beat up, it's weird.
You're a grown man playing a grown man Sport. There's other QBs that run and don't look half as tired as him.
boy got that Jesse Pinkman in him.

GT over 300 yards rushing -Colorado was lucky it wasnt worse-

Colorado still has no defense.

It’s going to be a long year for Prime.

Brent Key is proving to be a very good HC. His OL's are always coached up. They are high on their OL talent, but both his trenches are young and lack experience. He has a month and a half for those trenches to develop for Clemson and they definitely need it.
Colorado is never going to have depth as long as Deion is there. I haven't even bothered to look at Colorado's roster. You only need to look at their starters. I had really high hopes for Salter 2 years ago. He has a ways to go.

It’s the passing game that needs to develop.

King had one of the worst average depth of throws in all of college football last year. They basically just threw the ball laterally all year.
That can work to some degree when you have Eric Singleton.

But you can’t bring Clemson to the line of scrimmage and keep everything in front of them. I don’t care how developed the OL gets.

And what I saw Saturday was a passing game that still didn’t put the ball in the air beyond a few yards. The only big passing play they had was the King roll out where he threw it like 4 yards and the TE took off because there weren’t any defenders on that side of the field.

You’re not going to death march Clemson 4 yards a down all game.
