These stories about delays in receiving transcripts from Florida Public High Schools by UM Admissions is PURE BULL CRAP! FL Public High Schools Sends Electronic Transcripts to Colleges in Florida (and out of state if the college is set up for it) an have been doing this for a while.

Here is the Admissions page from Miami Dade Community College (the 1st bullet point outlines the policy)
http://www.mdc.edu/admissions/transcripts.aspx

Heck UF pulls High School Transcripts electronically from Florida Public High Schools ( 3rd section, 3rd bullet point)
http://www.admissions.ufl.edu/ugrad/trqualifying.html

So there is some type of hold up on UM's Admissions part which in a digital environment is absurd because UM should have a database of all classes offer by the public high Schools in the state of miami (From I-4 counties south to Miami - Pinellas, Hillsborough, Polk, Orange, Seminole, and Volusia )
http://quickfacts.census.gov/qfd/maps/florida_map.html This will allow for Transcript analysis to be performed in less than a minute by UM admissions staffers.

this has nothing to do with a student athlete. what you are posting for regular student admissions

Athletes go through the same admissions department, their applications are just given special attention. An I making reference to countless time we have heard about a UM commit being held up by admissions not getting their transcripts or UM taking days to weeks to evaluate a recruits transcript. As is the case with current Early Enrollee Brandon Powell who is being held up by UM's admissions department.

Here is the Brando Powell thread

Couple things:
The student-athlete transcript is likely far different than the normal student transcript, where you're dealing with established admission standards. Student-athlete transcripts are typically going to raise far more red flags.
Secondly, it's complicated by kids seeking early admissions because you're dealing with online or correspondence courses. Imagine in a lot of cases those scores or grades may not be coming directly from the high school. If they are, the high school may be waiting to receive them from the online programs before they can forward the transcript. Then, those have to be closely scrutinzed by Miami admissions and the NCAA eligibility center. These kids have been scrambling to complete online courses, so probably a lot of things in play.

you do realize that South Florida has the worst run public schools and government systems in the country?

and that they also just got back to work from Christmas break?

transcripts are being delivered late because the school secretaries kept spilling cafe con leche on them. give it time.

I'd hate to break it to you, but Kc's family already stated the reason he didn't report on Tuesday and had to wait until today because schools have been delayed in getting transcripts out in South Florida for EE student-athletes. But hey, let's not let something like that get in the way of the narrative you're trying to spin.
