So the head coach tests positive. How isn’t half the team quarantined . Did he keep social distancing? No ******* way. I don’t believe this game will happen. Couple weeks off before Clemson. Unfortunately fsu won’t cancel until the day before the game so we have to prepare for them.

it is hard to believe nobody else tested positive. but with college gameday coming to town and the $$ and exposure generated from that, it's not going to be so easy for them to weasel out of this game

You're assuming he has contact with the team. We already know he doesn't talk to them.

What money does college gameday bring? None that I'm aware of and it might actually cost money to get them setup, taken care of, etc.

well with coronavirus obviously most norms are out the window

but college gameday is 3 hours of free advertising for a college which definitely benefits in a ridiculous ROI for the college they are at

now for times when there isn't coronavirus, people travel to attend college gameday and games associated with it which obviously increases sales for the school and nearby businesses

Yes, he will be telecoaching from his couch.
 
We need them healthy not to spread anything, but able to play and see how they do. I hope every one of them is good to go.

So we can beat the Noles, yet they infect our team and our season? If that happens ...... it will take my hate/dislike of the Noles to a dangerous level.

Free advertising, sure. I don't see a financial impact as those who will attend GameDay fit into two categories.

They are already going to the game, if it's at the stadium. When we had it on campus, they weren't going to the game and were largely the student body.

It's great to have it, but I don't feel there's much impact besides the fun of it. The cost to get it up and running and to maintain the crowd, unless it's volunteers could out spend the benefits. It isn't some economic cash cow as it doesn't generate revenue in itself. People aren't coming from all parts to attend while spending before and after in bars, restaurants, and in hotels at night.
 
Not all exposure is good exposure. I’m really expecting a massacre this weekend. It’s convenient for Norvell that he’s not coaching this weekend since he won’t have to hold that L.

Why would they want to weasel out of game? According to the Trailerville paper, they are looking forward to getting redemption with the trip to Hard Rock. I think one of their DL got hurt and not sure if he'll be back but they have some talented players and would like nothing more than to put it all together and pull off the upset. Looking forward to the preview of the game whenever it's posted.
