State $ doesnt go to athletics. Athletics operations as a separate entity now. Not saying they wont raise funds from boosters if they need to, but the state doesnt fund buyouts

Yes, they are. Anybody receiving funds from the government has to go through extensive audits. That's why none of the illegal activities are done through the school.

And their athletic department is in shambles. They were broke before the pandemic. They are in even worse shape now
