To start, the atmosphere and attendance at yesterday's game was the best I've seen all season and Nov 15th can't come soon enough. FSU is clearly supremely talented all over the field and even though they look no where near invincible this game is really significant for a few players beyond just winning or losing. I'm not going to be fooled by a few good games in a row and In no way do I think we have a great chance to knock off FSU, but I do think some of these match ups are worth talking about. Here's what intrigues me the most about this game:

Kaaya: Aside from the UL game where he was thrown into the fire on a limited playbook, he's played **** well this year and I'm interested to see how he responds to a talented FSU d. We won't ask him to do much, but if he takes some shots and makes big plays on all these future nfl defenders then this game will go a long way as a confidence booster for the rest of his career. Even if he reverts back to the big mistakes, a la Nebraska, I still think the experience will be invaluable. FSU has 3 potential 1st round picks in the secondary and a bunch of D line NFLers. I'd love to see the 19 year old Cali kid hold his own against these grown men.

Duke: His career at Miami is nothing short of spectacular, but a big game here would would solidify his status even more. This will be Duke's 30th game at Miami. He has averaged at least 5 yards per carry in all but 8 of those games. But these games were largely against the best defenses we faced all year.

2012:
Kansas State (6 carries for 19 yards (3.2 avg)

Then he had the rough stretch weeks 5-8

NCSU (12 carries for 39 yards 3.3 avg)
ND (8 carries for 22 yards 2.8)
UNC (14 carries for 47 yards 3.4)
FSU (9 carries for 27 yards 3.0)

2013:
Florida (21 carries for 59 yards (2.9 avg)
FSU (23 carries for 97 yards (4.2 avg)

2014:
Louisville (20 carries for 90 yards (4.5avg) but to be far it was Kaaya first game.
You could also throw in Nebraska where he averaged 5.2 but he made up for it w/ 84 receiving yards

Duke is such a gamer and I'd love to see him break this streak and torch the FSU run d. If he finds a rhythm and yearby chips in with valuable touches I think Duke can go for 100+ and 5-6 yards per carry. He's got a chip on his shoulder from last year that will help and extra motivation since a big game from him will surely put him into the national spot light.

I'm also interested in the match ups between FSU's secondary and our receivers because a big game from dorsett could really propel his already growing draft stock.

What other position specific match ups warrant special attention this week?

This is the best I've felt about playing and beating the Seminoles in some time I think we win we have the team and if we play Defense aggressively against them Jameis gets rattled so ******* easy hit him once hes ****ed blitz blitz blitz we win the game

Lol at Duke having 14 or less carries in all five of those 2012 games (9 or less three times).

I mean, even yesterday he was having a solid day, nothing spectacular, then BOOM 90-yard TD. With him it's just a matter of time/touches, but for various reasons he didn't always get that .

I don't know that they're supremely talented all over the field compared to us. On defense they are, but in my opinion we are just as good and have as many if not more weapons on O.
