Miami offensive lineman Francis Mauigoa has been named to the watch list for the 2025 Jason Witten Collegiate Man of the Year Award, as announced Tuesday by the award’s selection committee.

He was raised in a small town in NE TN about 30 miles from me. I heard several stories about his community involvement when he was in HS. A grad of UT Knoxville. I only know this much because he was a local kid and he was a Cowboy for many years. His brother has been the very successful local HS football coach for almost 20 years.

Mike Gundy - also a Cowboy.
Mike Gundy - also a local HS football coach. Well at least was until a couple weeks ago.

I stand by my point that this should be the Mike Gundy (I'm a) Man of the Year Award.
