For the first time as Canes fan, I didn’t care tonight. I watched game, I watched us play uninspired lifeless football, desperately claw our way back but inevitably lose and the whole time I didn’t feel anything for the team.

I broke my phone during UF when they scored what would be the game winner. I cursed like a sailor when UNC got 4th and 17.

But after the miserable game against CMU and the opening to tonights game, I stopped caring. I just sort of stared at the tv.

I know even the greatest blue bloods of college sports go through down periods but I am completely done believing we can achieve anything beyond middle class mediocrity any time soon.

Manny is not the guy, he’s not gonna be the guy. I’m a cane and I hope the administration gets it right before it really becomes too late.

Need happy pills.

I agree with the OP. After the first game I was ****ed as well as after the UNC game but still held out hope. Became pessimistic after the Bethune first half but they got it together in the 2nd. CMU was alarming, coming off a bye week the way they came out today and it's conclusive, Manny is in over his head. Bad hire and move on from him after this year.
 
I hit the "Numb" feeling you describe during CMU. Realized then this team was garbage and went from anger to just stopped caring.

Got my hopes up for this game just cause VT was so bad coming in but right on queue we drop the ball
