For Discussion- Positives for Mario

Absolutely nothing positive to say about this guy other than: 1. He played for the Canes. 2. He is Cuban in a Cuban-dominated city. I think we need to be very careful about a guy who has almost certainly been operating with the assistance of $EC bagmen. He tries that #### with Miami, we will get the death penalty for sure. We are #1 on the NCAA **** list and they would love to shut us down. They live on our doorstep and the media will be quick to point out any violations here because they also hate us and want our football program to die. He's very risky hire with his inexperience and the culture he's been involved with in the $EC. I wouldn't let him anywhere near this program. He will kill it for sure, one way or the other.

Why these fools on the BOT can't see this is a real mystery to me. They are totally incompetent IMHO.

Let me say I want Butch as much as the next guy. But if we do end up with Mario does anyone see a possibility of him bringing kiffin in as oc asst head coach. There were rumblings in beginning of yr that kiffin was gonna get canned at bama and he might see this as a way out and to save face and prove himself out from under Saban. Then bolt for head gig after a yr or two. I think kiffin has better chance at getting a head coach job this yr with all the openings but wanted to see if people would welcome him as oc here.

"You can't go to MIT and not learn some high level ****. Well when it come to how to build a championship caliber team consistently, then Bama is MIT. "

This disqualifies you from having an opinion.
So every single Saban assistant learned that "high level s h I t"?
Let's go get BOBBY WILLIAMS!!!

Exactly. Derek Dooley was with Saban in college AND the NFL. This osmosis argument is such garbage.

Its not a guaranteed thing but if you look at the coaches that credit Jimmy Johnson for their careers it cannot be ignored.

It absolutely can be ignored when it comes to evaluating the next head coach hire UM.

The TRAITOR doesn't have the clap. That's a good thing.

Butch worked hard to restore the U but left the U high and dry ....
1. As soon as he could get out from under it. Like he was running away as fast as he could.
2. With a championship squad on the table. Like he didn't care about winning a ship at the U.
3 After lying to recruits and the fans in the national media. Like he didn't give F about the U.
4. For the worst football team in all of football. The FN browns!

Mario left the U.
1. As soon as he got wind that he wasn't going to be able to change anything because Golden was **** bent on his way which was without a doubt going to end in rapid failure.
2. For the best school in the country that would undoubtedly further his career.

We certainly have different definitions of traitors.

I dont want Mario here as a HC but he is coming in as the OC or the AHC.

After making the statement in green, your posting privileges should be taken away from you. You instantaneously lost all credibility. Butch left the U high and dry? Leaving behind arguably the best team ever assembled in the history of college football is leaving a program high and dry? Please shoot me now.

Not only that, but you immediately contradict yourself saying he left a championship squad on the table (red). So which is it? Left us high and dry or with a championship team on the table?
Please go and root for Alabama instead.

Biased minds are for simpletons. They see what they want to see and ignore everything else.

Butch had no idea what was going happen next year and he didnt care. He used Miami for his end goal and was off. To him a title at Miami wasn't worth sticking around to fight for even after all we just went thru and then after we got dissed by the world in place of FSU.
