For all the moaning, *****ing, and griping

Never liked us joining the ACC. It's a weak conference, and the fact that we get the same money as FSU, Clemson, Duke (in BB), and UNC (in BB) means there is NO incentive for the administration to do ANYTHING about improving the athletic programs at UM. The football program continues to get weaker and weaker. The coaches get worse and worse with each new bargain basement hire. If Golden is fired they'll just stick us with James Coley or Mario as HC. It's becoming increasingly apparent that the situation with Miami football is hopeless.

Just so unnecessary and so sad. DISGUSTING! This season will be the cherry on top of the chit sundae that is Al Golden's Hurricanes. 4-8 at best...and even that's a stretch.

This is stupid. Having reliable money doesn't mean you quit trying. FSU is getting about 5 million for a game they scheduled with Alabama. That's why you keep trying to win. If you can get yourself into big games, you have big payouts. Also winning brings more fans, more money.

Blake is a puppet. Just ask his wife. She keeps her fist up his **** as much as possible.

This is perhaps the stupidest thing to complain about. Seems to come up every few months.

Serious question--do you know anything about business? Would you prefer a guaranteed payout each year, or a feast-or-famine situation in which you're never certain of your future, you can't plan for long-term goals, etc.

Folks want a a big-name coach, new facilities, maybe an actual home stadium one day. None of that **** happens without money. Money that comes from big fat deals with the ACC and Adidas and the like.

I am glad you came back. We await your thoughts...

money is, in fact, the reason they won't let him go right now. UM has very little of it, and apparently, according to their cost/benefit analysis, it's cheaper to keep him for next year.

It doesn't guarantee mediocrity.
It guarantees mediocrity if the admin is content with only the ACC money.
No incentive?
I can't see how they wouldn't want an extra 15-20k fans in the seats ( x6 games x$75) and all the schwag sales that go along with winning.

That's the whole point. I think they are. Others disagree. So far, I see no commitment to making the effort to do better. Coker, Shannon, Golden.

Hiring a proven, winning coach = commitment. That's fair.
Who then, is our next coach?

Yep...and I still remember those lies they told the fanbase. We can't afford to travel all up the east coast to NJ, PA, and NY. ***** the admin those cacksukkas

The problem is that our leadership does not re-invest much of that money in the assets that are the reason for that SECURE cash flow. Instead they fritter it away on their personal agendas that suck $$$$. IF the day EVER comes where UHealth starts sustaining huge profits that are then used to, say, build us a new stadium of our own(they can ever call it UHEALTH) then we will all need to say "my bad". Until then, I would love ACC to make pubic statement that THE U needs to hold up its end of the deal or get out.

It's a better conference than the Big East, and we couldn't be an Independent in the present landscape so.......

Nothing stupid about it. From a business standpoint it's great. From a fan's viewpoint it guarantees mediocrity. There is no incentive to improve the product.

yea because you know how recruits love to not play for a college that has the latest facilities, etc.

Recruits don't want to lose by double digits all the time, I think that's more important than facilities!
