Food for thought

This reminds me of something....

Jaromir: "The Thessalonian you're fighting, he's the biggest man I've ever seen. I wouldn't want to fight him."

Real Cane: "That is why no one will remember your name."

THE STANDARD for Miami since 1983--
Undefeated with a National Championship.

Fall short, pick yourself back up and get back at it.

Never apologize for aspiring to THE STANDARD and never let it be set as less.
Many teams aspire to go undefeated and win a natty. The reality is in CFB that few attain that dream season. There are even a few natty's won with one loss.

That's not to say the "standard" shouldn't be the ultimate objective. The reality is that the "standard", even for elite teams, is extremely difficult to attain and even more difficult to repeat.

Shhh...don't tell Bama or UGA....or UT...

Regardless of achieving, those fan bases just expect it as birth right.

Miami's fandom used to as well.

Does it matter? Should the standard be less?

Btw...its 3...'87, '91, '01...undefeated w/ Natty.

'83 11-1, '89 11-1...fell short w/ Natty.

Been to every single one.

Your welcome nephew.

We have done it four times 87, 91, 01 and 02. I don't care what anyone says.

I said in another thread that college football is in a very weird place right now. Alabama is in a class of their own, and Clemson is a distant #2. Then there's literally everyone else. Miami fans can't see the forest for the trees because they think we should be in Alabama's spot.

What does bama have to do with beating UVA and BC?

You really believe we are in the same group as the teams right after bama and Clemson ?

No, Miami is not in the same boat as Georgia, Oklahoma, Ohio State, or even LSU. LSU manhandled Miami and the rest would do the same right now. The fact people believe we are in the same tier as those teams is a testament to the delusion that is spread by the Richt cult on this board.
