Flowers for a Cane: DJ Dallas

the play/moment that stands out is actually the first time he made a big play as a Hurricane...

Came in that 2017 game at UNC, offense was struggling the whole day, and he caught a short pass as a slot receiver, shook a guy and ran inside the 10 yard line. It was a huge play that lead to a TD.

Whats interesting it was about the only play he made as a slot guy at UM. The rest of the time he was a RB and Wildcat QB

D.J. was the team leader period. There were games where his wildcat was the only offense we can muster. I love his willingness to just do things himself when the rest of the team was a let-down. I wish we had more like him.

DJ’s long TD (60y) run to tie VT late 35-35 in the 2019 game. Should have gone ahead 36-35 but missed a PAT. VT followed with an easy score to win 42-35.

VT jumped out to a 28-0 2nd Qtr lead, thanks to 4 INTs from Jarren Williams and a garbage Manny defense.

Kosi Perry lead a huge comeback, but fell just short.

Video in ESPN recap.

didn’t quite know what we would get with DJ when we took his commitment but he proved he could literally do it all

Big time leader and offensive weapon who like others said was our only offensive whimper we could muster some weeks…. I hold him up there in recency with Duke. Just playmakers who willed the offense…

Super happy he’s still collecting a check and making plays in the league still

Dude, change the title...terrible
Nah I like the title! I used to post them as random canes of the day but the former players didn’t like the random tag and liked the idea of the post being about giving them flowers. It doesn’t really seem to be a issue on Twitter just here so I won’t post them here
