Miami Showed Up: The team played hard and the game was obviously competitive. Too many times in big games on national tv, Miami has simply not shown up (E.g. Wisky and LSU games last year)
Brevin Jordan: made some big plays including the td. He is special. Enos has to find even more creative ways to get him the ball
DJ Dallas: Solid game. Two big runs out of the wildcat and a big catch on the screen. Not only runs hard but also continues to surprise with his speed and big plays.
KJ Osborn-Good size and speed. Made some plays. His experience shows. Is going to have a nice year.
Jarren Williams: While he held the ball way too long and didn’t’ take an shots down the field, he did not force the ball into coverage. He also was accurate with the ball when he had time. Considering he was under constant pressure, I thought he held his composure. I am excited to see his development.
Punting: It was not great but at least we looked like we had a division 1 punter
Defense: Played well enough to win. Caused four turnovers and only gave up 24 points against the #8 team in the country on a neutral site with one td handed to Florida after the muffed punt. Run defense was very good. For a young secondary, no blown assignments or leaving guys wide open. Two big passes and the muffed punt were the entire game for the defense.
Center of Offensive Line: Despite the overall bad play of the line (the tackles were horrible), Donaldson and Scaife played well at their natural positions. Gaynor wasn’t as good as those two but was serviceable.
Turnover Chain and Offensive Rings: Love the new hardware. The offensive bling will create a new trend.
