Florida State vs Miami Recruiting Trends

They are so sold on Norvell being such a “great developer” when in fact yes, their recruiting is Goldenesque and is exactly what we were doing back in the early Golden era when there were people justifying us taking the likes of Larry Hope, Dequan Ivery and Dwayne Hoilett. They are ******* trash and their recruiting will make it even worse.

When their QB flips to Ole Miss after they go 3-8 it’s going to be biblical.

They really need a recruiter and culture builder right now and that ain’t Norvell. He’s a good x/o guy, but that isn’t going to be enough there right now. Just seems like a poor fit currently and that hole will get deeper.

These ratings alone, of course, are no guarantee of how players will pan out. However, it is a nice illustration of a point: if you are consistently hitting on at least a couple more blue chippers than your rival every year, by the 4th year or so, you should have significant matchup advantages in your starting lineup. This is how it is done.

No chance they win 3 games. 2 if they’re lucky.

They are done. The effort on the field just isn’t there. They definitely have solid athletes though.

Even in down years, recruits want to live in Miami. But who the **** wants to be in Tallanasty if that program ain't winning

When FSU started their rise in 2011 they stopped looking at us, they had their sights set on the SEC in terms of recruiting. We need to look at Clemson, Bama and UGA in terms of where we need to go recruiting wise, that's another level. Bama and SEC schools are still getting 2 many of the kids we need from so FL especially on defense

If this season pans out, keeping kids in South Florida will be easier.

In this era of portals, initial commitments mean nothing.

The mantra is, "Don't like what is going at a school, switch to elsewhere the following year."
That's FREEDOM that players should have.

Besides, The athletic scholarship is a year by year agreement. The college is under no obligation to renew the athletic aid for the following year. What is more, the coach and the institution have a lot more FREEDOM to NOT renew the athletic aid than they do for the current academic year. In fact, they have COMPLETE FREEDDOM.

I could care less what's fsu does. It's all Miami, all the time. If Miami takes care of business IE hires a real coach who can maintain **** around here then that's all that matters. Diaz has done some good things so far but he needs to beat Clemson next Saturday and continue to bring in great staff members and bad to the bone players regardless of what fsu and Florida are doing. He can't just succeed when one of those programs is down. He has to be able to do it when all 3 teams are great. If Diaz can constantly upgrade /maintain his staff, bring in bad to the bone players and improve as a coach overall he'll he might develop into an NFL type guy... which is what Miami needs BTW..but, if he does bobby Bowden style *** it ill take that ...it's gotta be NFL style coach tho for sure

Until they get the team discipline and team spirit up they will continue to have problems. Too many renegades over they years have established a culture on that team.
