Fire Diaz and revamp the coaching staff on the defensive side of the ball

Don't understand some people trashing Manny and the defense.I don't know of very many defenses having good stats while defending a short field on a regular basis.we wouldn't of won those 7 games without mannys defense.idiot was no Ds defense we could easily went 2-8 instead.

Original post was written on September 2nd when Miami lost to LSU.

Further proof this fan base is knee-jerk and over-emotional. 11 games later, Diaz had one of the best defenses in the nation—but three months ago some here wanted him fired. Laughable, as this is the same contingent scared s**tless he'll get hired away this off-season.

And the defense actually performed fine against LSU

YES!! Fire everyone on the staff

Replace them with our posters who almost all think they know a lot more about our players, how to prepare and the best schemes. The posters will easily insure that we immediately reach championship level and always recruit the best players.

This will be a groundbreaking move :reaction:

We will NEVER lose another game.

I think the reason why people have reactions like this is because he was fired at a previous job so he doesn't get the benefit of the doubt.

Im doing pretty well this week. I was slammed for this quote (above) in September and slammed for being a Travis Homer homer 3 weeks ago.

Now, it seems like everyone has decided to...

You are one of the few posters that I can recognize as seeing things logically without over-reacting.

The vocal group wanted Jimmy Johnson fired in year 1 for the disaster at the end of the year, and after year three when he lost his 3rd straight bowl game to prove for sure he could NEVER win the big one. Especially knowing he never won big anywhere before. Jimmy's record at Oklahoma State was NOT impressive.

They then drove Erikson out of town for not being Jimmy Johnson. And the ****** gimmicky offense he saddled us with. Especially knowing he never won big anywhere before. Dennis's prior coaching record was NOT impressive. So, he only won to start purely because of Jimmy's players.

The worst hate (worse than Cooker, Shannon and Golden hate combined) was for Butch Davis turning us from a team playing for the national championship against nebraska in the orange bowl under Erikson, to a NATIONAL JOKE. With a roster with hall of famers on it, before sanctions kicked in, Butch got the canes thumped by ucla in the opener, and a bunch of 8-3 records. Then a friggin LOSING RECORD. Butch was, to the crowd, the worst coach to ever blow a whistle--- until he left.

Richt is in very good company (Johnson, Erikson and Davis).

No need to flame me here as I'm gonna start a new thread for all of your knee-jerk know-it-all retorts (or agreements).

So much vitriol in this thread.

We are all children of God.

Less hate, more love.
Lol. This thread has turned into a massive “I told you so” circle jerk.

Keep rubbing one off fellas, you’ll get a woman some day.

/cue the mom or sister joke

Lmao at this guy going all the way back to jimmy johnson days to make his point.

If you hate the “overreactions” so much sign off or just ignore them. I don’t know what’s worse, my original post or you and your ilk returning to this thread over and over again to cry about other people’s posts.

I'll take Manny Diaz all day, every day. I refuse to pile on him simply because we had a bad game.

He's the perfect D Coordinator for UM.

If Baxa makes that field goal then Diaz's defense gets to take the field with the lead. Things could have gone very differently.

Feagles shanked three consecutive punts to start the game putting UM's defense behind the eight ball each time. That combined with the missed field goal really took its toll.

Im still a Diaz fan. Kendrick Norton leaving prematurely left a big hole in the middle of the D. Losing a **** good corner in Malik Young due to a career ending injury really hurt the depth chart.

I refuse to over-react due to a loss like this.

@Coach Macho replied: "You're out your **** mind, buddy."

Macho, you know I have a ton of respect for you as a football guy, but Im really looking for a response from you here.

Diaz is a bad DC. Signs were there last year and he got exposed again by a garbage offense.

The guy is a massive liability
no pleasing u all, there is always so much negativity on this board. i have never seen so many experts like this. unreal.

WORST FANBASE EVER. Good luck to you boys i'll be watching from afar for the near future.
