The University of Miami men’s basketball team battled at No. 14 Virginia but ultimately fell, 86-83, Saturday inside John Paul Jones Arena.
After Virginia (24-3, 12-2 ACC) took an early 11-7, the Hurricanes (21-6, 10-4 ACC) embarked on a 17-2 run over the next six minutes to take a 24-13 advantage. Shelton Henderson spurred the run as the freshman poured in eight points. Dante Allen capped off the run with a 3-pointer.
