The mood was festive at Lane Stadium Saturday as Virginia Tech honored its seniors and introduced a new head coach.

But the Miami Hurricanes quickly extinguished any hopes for the Hokie faithful, jumping on the home team early and cruising to a 34-17 victory.

No. 14 Miami improved to 9-2 overall and 5-2 in the ACC. Tech fell to 3-8 overall and 2-5 in conference play. It was the Canes’ fifth straight win over the Hokies dating back to 2017.

We play up for Big games since Mario been here. We dont get blown out any games and honestly we are built for playoff games.. if healthy we can line up with any team..unfortunately injuries are piling up in the secondary.

What have you forgotten about the abuse GT has done to us both years under Chris. Were lucky to not face them tbh or Haynes King would have a field day for Heisman

lol we were ahead by 2+ scores virtually the entire game and the W was never once close to being in doubt. That is cruising my illiterate friends

Every week we hear "insert QB" is going to look like a hesiman against us.What proof does everyone have that this defense would allow that? This is not last year's defense.
