Trying to put a little positive out.

My favorite all time Cane player

Jim Dooley

All American offensive and defensive teams in same season. Had over 1000 yards rushing. 4 interceptions in 14-0 win over Clemson in 1952 Gator bowl.. Never missed a play the whole season. Some very fond memories from.those early 50,s teams

Jerome Brown, the trio of Michael Barrow, Darren Smith and Jesse Armstead. Armstead and Barrow were eventually Giants so it made it even sweater. Also loved Coleman Bell from that era. Dan Morgan and Reggie Wayne. Most recently Corn Elder.

Offense - Steve Walse as a young kid in the 80s. He just looked like he took control of his dawgs. Not very athletic but a General on the field.

Defense - Ray Lewis. Watching him in high school and how he was a heat seeking missle was fckning badass.

Ottis Anderson

Such freak feet and instincts. He could have been a collegiate legend either a decade later with the Canes, or with another program during those late '70s...such a run oriented era. He played in the Billy Sims/Earl Campbell//Charles White era.

This is tuff, so many greats... so I'll go with some defensive guys.
LB... Ray Lewis
DL... Jerome Brown (RIP)
DE... Dan Stubbs
DB... Ed Reed

The Stork - Ted Hendrix. He carried a team all by himself into respectability when no respectability existed before him. He stood up to Notre Dame and gave them fits. He was an awesome player for really bad UM teams.

NO. He played for some fair teams and at least one very good team in his three years of eligibility. I think the '67 team was in the top 10. Even if '66 and '68 were not good, I'm not sure they were "really bad." I'd have to look up the records but I don't know if they were really bad.
