I was optimistic a week or two ago until I started to see the new trend of cases. Some states are heading in the wrong direction and actually making me start to think college football may be in trouble.

pro sports have the money to get it figured out and play. College can’t afford millions in testing, tracing, sanitation etc.... for all schools.

we need the virus to weaken. It’s clearly not going away and we can all debate the number of deaths, but you can’t risk people’s lives of sports entertainment. North Carolina is surging with cases and that will directly impact the ACC.

if the virus weakens then it doesn’t matter about how many cases we got cause it’s not as lethal. That has to be the hope that it runs out of steam. There are a few scientist who say they are starting to see that trend. Vaccines won’t be available till late 2020-early 2021.

we may see only family and the richest of the rich get the other 10% of tickets or something like that.

Yup, its not a question of fans, no fans, its games, no games. You will have hotzones, maybe certain cities still with restrictions, its gonna be a logistical nightmare, doubt they will just push thru like some want just to play a game..

Like the cycle we just went through, hopefully the spikes are on the down side 3 months from now.

yeah but the problem is even getting it off the ground. The NCAA mandated schools must participate in 6 weeks of training prior, correct? If schools keep pausing whenever they have positive test, they will never reach that goal. Will some schools just sit out this year? Maybe that’s what we see.

I think worst worst case is we see the season moved to the spring and play Feb-May when there is a vaccine most likely available.

NFL is playing no matter what this fall. It’s college that may be the problem

I'm taking a calculated guess and saying there will be no fans in the stadium. Covid 19 cases are spiking but I believe when the first week of July comes around it will be worse. Due to the riots, protesting, and the Memorial Day weekend events expect many more positive cases to appear.
