He may have 261 snaps but the coaches trust him tremendously and his injuries have been unfortunate but not an estimate of his talent.

We brought in a couple OL but the last couple of years we brought in elite centers to lead the offense. This year we are happy with Rodriguez and the only thing about Center we have heard is that BACKUP center is a concern.

I don’t think Rodriguez will become a top player for us but he’s someone the coaching staff has raved about. Despite his low number of snaps.

Troure is an excellent run defender/tackler but his ability to cover is very limited and he struggles in open space. Unless I am missing something I haven’t really seen/heard about Rodriguez being a liability in run or pass pro like iv heard (and seen) Troure get exploited in the passing game.

The gap between 16-25 isn’t some wide margin either. I expect both players to be very valuable for us

Besides being injury-prone, Rodriguez has been mid in the run blocking game when he's played (which has been sparse). Maybe he's improved leaps and bounds, and worked on his health/endurance... here's hoping, because there is cause for concern behind him. That said, the coaches can say they trust him (what else are they going to say at this point), but their actions were to bring in a transfer center back-to-back-to-back years. Did they not bring in a portal C because they now trust Rodriguez, or because they didn't like the available options? Time will tell, I guess.

Troure needs to be coming downhill to be effective. He's basically a throwback, early 90s MLB. When he's doing that, he's great. When he's moving backwards or running laterally in coverage, he's a liability. But it's probably much easier to scheme around a MLB who can't cover in man or the flats than it is to scheme around run blocking (or injury) for an OL.
