So, it was obvious in the 2nd Half, that VT was faking injuries in order to get a breather and disrupt our rythum. Just like what FIU did to us.

My question is, how can the NCAA put a stop to this? We cannot be the only ones this affects, and it reeks of unsportsmanlike behavior.

Do you get one free injury TO per quarter, then after that, charged with a TO, then after that, the player has to sit out the series?

How can we change the rules where its still fair?

It's been a problem for decades. Can't really put a stop to it until mind reading technology comes.

I think there is a solution. If you stop play for an injury while on defense, your team either uses a TO or the injured player is disqualified for the remainder of the quarter. Give teams 1 more TO/half if necessary.

It’s really a player safety rule. If you’re hurt enough to not be able to get off the field, you should sit anyway.

Fake injury TO’s shouldn’t be part of the game and don’t have to be part of the game.

I think at a quarter you’d get guys trying to play through things they maybe shouldn’t. Especially in the 4th quarter.

Yeah idk what the answer is... drag em off the field or something.... but everytime to stop the game for 5 mins is wild.

Out for the drive or use a TO. A drive usually wouldn’t be significant enough for a player to force themselves to play through injury, but gives enough punishment to get rid of 80% of this BS.

Baron did it in the first quarter.

The only "fix" is to force a player to sit out an appropriate amount of time/plays before they could go back in.
Barron did fake an injury but it was because we were about to get a 12 men on the field penalty or have to burn a time out. It was actually really smart.

But yeah, you’re right that if a player gets “injured” he shouldn’t be allowed to return to the field until the next change of possession.

Maybe I have been unobservant but it seems like it’s been far more frequent this season…

It was so humid out there..I hate to say it but some of those could have been legit cramping. I was dying out there just being a spectator couldn’t imagine having to play in that weather.

My only guess would be that if a team gets an injury time out for a player, that player cannot return for a specific period of time - maybe 15 minutes of game time.

I was gonna say I think I heard em say during the broadcast it was like 86% humidity, def not all but maybe a solid half of them were legit
