Everyone was jumping gun to say

Maybe not top 5 but definitely top 10-and only because CMR only has 3 weeks to recruit once the dead period ends.

Plenty of time left for instant gratification dipshyt set. Richt hasn't even really dug into the normal enrolleees as he's been taking his time with the early entries. I expect a couple upsets especially once he hires a monster DC. This class ranking will improve tremendously.

Every post that lunatic makes is some vitriolic rant that has something to do with Butch. Poor lost soul.
 
Wait, I thought Mark was the "coach" pick and Butch was the "recruiter" pick. If we wanted a top 5 class we should have hired the guy to do that a month ago. Mark should hold this class and maybe improve it, but let's not start pretending we hired the other guy.
 
Is not having a DC named, possible hurting defensive recruiting? I would think the kids want to know for whom and how they will be playing.

Curious... How was Shannon's class looking when golden was hired and how did golden close? I seem to remember the 2011 class being a disaster and most everyone used the excuse that golden needed time. I expect CMR to do much better

Shannon left the cupboard absolutely bare.

Golden has left 10+ guys that are all High level D1 caliber.

We're in a very different position and a better/more recognizable coach is taking over than before, so everything is moving in a positive direction.
 
If I recall correctly, shannon left a disaster of a recruiting class when he got fired. al lost some big recruits who wanted to play for randy, but did a decent job of pulling a class together. He didn't pull studs, but managed to fill the gaping holes and at the time I was pleased with what he'd managed. Richt gets a better class to start with and my expectations are higher for him because he's a seasoned recruiter. He knows S.Fl and a lot of these kids.

Isaac Nauta is on campus right now. He's the number 1 TE in the nation. OP needs to calm down. Malek Young also just de-committed from UGA and it looks like he may be coming here as he has an OV scheduled on the 15th.

I think there were 4 commits when Folden got hired, and I think he had less time than Richt to put together a class. He worked his *** off doing it. I remember that.

Another positive for Richt is that some of the guys who were committed to Folden or who have interest in UM but haven't committed were waiting for the inevitable firing and hiring of a new HC at UM. UM will wind up this class much better than it would have if Folden didn't get fired.
