Just wanted everyone to know that every single kid who traveled to Durham got into the game last night. All of them. Yes, you’d hope that’s the case in a 48-0 game, but I can’t tell you how important that is for team morale and the future direction of the team. And more so, only three penalties all night, very little confusion (we did have to call a TO late on defense for not having enough guys on the field), excellent execution all night. Hats way off to the staff for having every single kid ready to go after not even knowing who you’re playing until less than a week ago.
Now, no need to crown anybody after beating one of the legitimate worst teams in the entire country who clearly quit on the season. We didn’t win a championship last night. But we’ve played a lot of really ****** teams who had quit over the past 15 years, and a lot of times we were ****tier and had quit more. So you really have to give props where they’re due. Getting every single kid on your travel roster into the game and it looking like everyone was prepared and only having 3 penalties and no confusion with the Covid situation in the background is really well done by the staff, ****** *** Duke or not. Keep it rolling.
