Not a conference game brother. Was an extra game they scheduled to finish out their 12 games
Only in college do you see stupid **** like this.

The NCAA should have never allowed that. I’m not surprised they did, because they tend to **** a lot of things up. Just saying it’s extremely stupid - regardless of the rationale.

it at least counts against the tiebreakers right?

I've seen that countless times throughout the years.

They had teams canceled. So they scheduled this. At least it wasn't Kent State

They had an OOC game cancelled. NC State needed another game scheduled as well, not that big of a deal. I mean they could've scheduled a game with Saint Mary's School for the Blind I guess but scheduling a P4 opponent increases their strength of schedule.
What is the reason? Has it ever happened before? Was it an ACC decision or the NCAA? Does it count for NC ST? Unbelievable!

Even if it’s a loss?

I prefer they play any team not in the conference...

And I understand the why, hermano, so I'm not here to shoot the messenger, lol...

PERO:

No justification on the planet will convince me it wasn't a stupid move. It should have never happened. Now a team with a conference loss may get to the ACC Championship on the most outlandish of technicalities. This would never happen in MLB, NFL, etc.

The criticism is warranted. College is a pro league now. They need to act like it.

UVA is a team with a conference loss that is currently undefeated in the conference, because the ACC wants to play pretend. Dumbest **** ever.

I agree it's silly but give them props for not calling up some directional FCS school I guess. In the world of CFB schedule making it was fairly last minute that their game got cancelled so I can't imagine that they had a huge pool of teams to call up to schedule a game.

I hear you. I respect the move, just don't like the double standard.

If anyone loses to NC State, it counts.

Because the ACC, UVA, or a third party dropped the ball, other teams may get ****ed. No bueno... I don't like the idea of teams backing into a conference championship...

If they make it to charlotte I wouldn't see it as them backing into it, since UVA and NC State weren't going to play this year anyway.

Wish we could
Just play fsu again too instead of Bethune as a non acc game
Would have been about the same level of comp

If SEC & Big Ten keep backing out of contracts may see more ACC teams playing one another in non-conference games. Pathetic sign of times.
