Of the top 6 games on the list, 4 involved Miami. Sure we lost 3 of the games; the robbery at ND, the fatigues v PSU and Hail Flutie. But #2 overall is us beating Nebraska, which absolutely changed the college football landscape and ushered in a renegade program that kicked down all the doors and overturned all the tables.
Whether we win or lose, at least Miami is important. And when we win, we are front page news.

Every non-Cane fan perceived games that we lost as big games back in the day.

What makes the Flutie game where we're #13 and BC is #8 a better game than the '94 Colorado (#7) vs Michigan (#4) Hail Mary game?
Here's a better one. Why is the Alabama/Miami '92 Natty on the list? It wasn't a "great game" at all.

The answer is....because we lost.
It was even bigger front page news when we lost. Because it didn't happen that often.
