seems like they are really giving credit to Wisconsin and Texas for beating severely overrated teams week 1.. Will be interesting to see how this differs from AP poll release at 2pm today


my opinion on teams too high:

Texas A&M should not jump from unraked to 15th for beating an average UCLA squad at home on opening weekend.
Texas at 11. lmao
Washington at 8? after beating big bad Rutgers? lmao x 2
Michigan state should have fallen in the power rankings farther after their performance too

Power Rankings: Top 10 teams go down

At this point in the season the rankings are based on
1. What did you do last year
2. Returning starters

Then to a lesser extent the strength and historical finish of your team over the past 2-3 years.

After a few games all this goes out the window for the most part and current year on-field performance takes over.
