In the NFL. Hopefully Satan doesn't try and scoop him. Doubtful he would do that to the U.

Ed was an awesome player. But from what others said he was a bit of a loner. You need to be more of an extravert like Diaz to be a good college coach. That’s not to say Ed can’t motivate or speak, but that’s an everyday requirement for a college coach. In the NFL he might be able to get away with being more introverted.

Whoever told you, or wherever you heard that Ed is a loner is Ridiculous.

When it came to approaching Reed, the rule of thumb around the Ravens' facility centered on the state of his wardrobe. If the hood of his sweatshirt was up and covered his face, that was the indication that Reed wasn't going to talk to you. If the hood was down, that was the time when Reed smiled and made you feel like his best friend.

Stop it...I spent countless hrs around Ed, both at UM & in the NFL....Not once did I ever deal with a Hood down or up bunch of BS...
Lol....here's Ed with his Hood up....seconds later he ignored me and stomped off...

Lol i didn't write it. Also i'm not you grasp how introverts work outside of the friendship bubble you had with him.

And of course introvert or not he should be a coach. He's a mythical being at the safety position he doesn't have to say much because you know every word he says is worth hearing.

Ed is as chill as they come, until you hit the practice or game field, then becomes a Ball Hawk!.

Ed was a film freak and played with his brain. That is the type of great player who makes great coach. As to recruiting, his “you already know” should be all the intro he needs. Hire the man.

I hate to break it to y’all but not every Hall of Fame player has the required skill set to excel at coaching. I’m not going to say Ed Reed does or does not possess that quality but some on this board want to push every great player into a coaching role here based solely on things they did while playing.

That’s not to say I don’t love when these guys come back to speak and mentor and help out the coaching staff and work with Paradise Camp, but the guys who want Dorsey as qb coach and ray Lewis as LB coach and Irvin as WR coach with Ed Reed as the DC are a tad bit delusional.

Sometimes when someone is super good at something, they have such high expectations that the ones they are teaching cannot reach the same level and they get frustrated thinking what they did was easy for them but unattainable by others. Ed Reed was incredible because he is Ed Reed and to think he can create clones is beyond realistic. I've seen great men in an occupation so they get promoted and have to train underlings but can't because their special talent made what they did easy and not grasping it should be easy for others is frustrating. If coaching was all it took all our DL's would be a Warren Sapp, or our LB's Ray Lewis.

Anyone who thinks having arguably the Greatest Safety in UM and NFL History, coming back and coaching here in ANY capacity would be in any way negative is a loon...Rumph coaches here, but Ed couldn't??....Lol...
The same loons that would rather have Banda lmfao
