I dont post a lot on here but I read everything that is posted here. I am tired of people saying anything about firing Coach Golden. The people out there thinking this are absolutely idiotic. Coach G has dine more fir this program in the last 3 years than anyone has since 2002. Please stop with the nonsense and get a grip. This team is good but would've been great with Jedd at the helms of the offense. Yes Coach D neefs to show improvement in the next 5 4 or 5 games or he needs to go.

We have 3 games left bruh. It'll be 3 seasons with Dorito and the facts are facts he's garbage. It'll be sad if golden decides to sink in the same boat as Dorito

One cannot separate coach Golden from this defense. Its what he wants and unless he has a major change of heart he will live or die with it.

Golden has done a lot of good, but he will not be able to overcome the inept coaching of Donofrio. If he refuses to let his boy go, then he should be shown the door.

Hey atleast it shows he is loyal.

If anyone is talking about firing Golden, they're on one end of a spectrum of stupidity. Sorry to say, but making a thread like this is on the other end of the same spectrum.

We don't want Al fired as most like him I feel. We want him to grow a pair and part ways with Coach D. On top of that showing adjustments on both sides of ball would be helpful too.

Someone please tell me all of this good that Golden has supposedly done. Guessing it will be a list of things that have nothing to do with winning football games, which at the end of the day is his job to do.

All i hear is how much Golden has done for us. Like what exactly?

Were all disappointed by the on the field display over the past few weeks, which is what will eventually make or break Al.

However, you cannot deny that he has done an UNBELIEVABLE job steering us through the NCAA mess. Whether it's been the positive perception around the program, despite the cloud, or the fact he has still been able to recruit at a fairly high level. I'm furious with the on the field performance but will not discount the other positives.

I don't understand why Golden is getting the credit for steering us through the NCAA mess when it was Shalala and the AD doing all of the work in that regard.

Golden has done nothing differently that any other coach would have done here. And he has stated himself that he has had zero involvement with the handling of the NCAA mess.

And if his biggest positive during his tenure here is that he handled the NCAA investigation well despite us sucking on the field then we need to hire him for Public Relations and not as a football coach.

1- Speak intelligible English.
2- Sell the program
3- Recognize a lame *** S&C/nutrition program and improve it
4- Recruit reasonably well under ****** as **** circumstances....including salvaging a disasterous 2011 Shannon ****ed recruiting class.
5- Hold the entire organization together under the NCAA investigation
6- Repair the damaged recruiting relationships with local high schools
7- Has timeouts at the end of games (Hallelujah)
8- Mercifully, speaks intelligible English.

Dead on which a lot of us overlook with the debacle last night. While everything you posted correctly the issue is that we look worse than we did a month ago and that has been a trend for a decade.

None of this excuses last nights debacle. It's a response to cane33 who is understandably irrational today.

Golden has had front row to this dumpster fire with Dorito

- Through our last 5 games (All ACC games) we are allowing an average of 465 yards per game

- Good for 109th in the country

- During that 5 game stretch, we are allowing 31.4 points per game.

- Good for 93rd in the country.

- We are averaging allowing 7.6 out of 15 attempts of 3rd downs to be converted a game

- 119th in the country

- We have sacked the QB an average of 1.8 times a game

- 76th in the country

Instead of Al talking through it with Mark and blaming the players, your post should be printed out on Mark's desk with Al's writing saying "See me now and come prepared to explain this grease fire"

This guy right here gets it. I actually haven't even seen a fire Al Golden thread. I've seen people wanting him to get rid of coach D and that if he can't do that or puts his relationship ahead of the program and the players and winning then he needs to get out. But thats a fair statement and fair assessment. Thats not saying fire golden thats saying we want golden to right this ship before he sinks with it. Big difference.

Yep a list of things that have nothing to do with winning games like i thought. Those timeouts really come in handy down by 21. He sounds like he'd make a great Athletic Director or Director of Football Operations though. HC....not so much.

If we lose at Duke i'm guessing that streak ends.

He's not just going to have to give up on his good friend, but his own philosophy. Golden has the upmost faith in this scheme he's molded from his years around football. I don't know if Golden would be able to swallow that much pride. It not very often you see a former defensive coordinator turned head coach give up on his own scheme and bring in a guy with his very own philosophy.

Even when this scheme is having success its never going to be popular. I never forget a big thread on the Temple board when Addazio came in. They called Chuck Heaters attacking scheme a breath a fresh air. This is coming from a fan base that hadn't even seen a successful defense before Golden.

Don't want Golden fired but if he sticks by Coach No D then he deserves his fate. Golden will not succeed here playing this type of defense.
