I loved the option pitch in the red zone that went for a touchdown. A couple of nice screens to mix things up a bit. Taking Pope and utilizing his speed and running him. Obviously we got the ball downfield better and recievers made catches. I like the quick drop backs from center and quick pitches and fast draws. It looked like a different offense over all. Kudos especially to Hodges and seeing big boy Burns have a few runs. And finally Kosi looked really polished and ran the offense well.

Best take away was that

1.) the WR drops so far are WAYYYYY down

2.) Jarren has been super clean with turnovers

Other than that...

Oline is still awful... not being able to impose their will against BCU was embarrassing

We are still ranked one of the worst 3rd down teams in the nation. Again.

Offense can sputter at times still... but it does have more imagination and creativity than last year

Good, strong performance execution wise. O-line still scary, physically. Overall, I’m happy with the win.
Agree re: ol. I personally think we have one future dog in Zion and the freshman guard. I am not sold on Campbell. He has size and some intangibles but he don't move people like he should. He seems timid a lot. Also like the fact that we are at least allowing a 1st team unit to get cohesive. Same with the qb decision. Jdub need to improve his long game and make decisions faster sometimes but I am pleased with what he shows from a potential standpoint. Key now is continuing to see growth in both play and corching

Everyone did what they were supposed to do and executed cleanly. That's what was important to me in this game and they succeeded.

Few penalties, guys were in position, no turnovers, fundamentals executed, young guys we may need later got some burn. Overall a good scrimmage against an obviously inferior opponent.

In hindsight I wish we could have one or two of these, based on our inexperience and new coaching staff, prior to playing the Turds and UNC.
