Looking at the top teams it seems that their playmakers have an elite trait and their ocs scheme a system around those specific traits

lashlee needs to do that more
Guys like rooster needed to be schemed to take advantage of his elite skills in the open field
And guys like Washington who has shown elite down field abilities should be given a couple shots a game
I hope he’s not a systems guy where he just sticks to his system

I really like Rooster and feel like next year he breaks out. He looked unsure this year coupled with needing like 10 to 15 more lbs. Not saying he'll gain that much but he'll gain some this offseason and hopefully keep his speed and quickness. He just needs to get to the point he's breaking arm tackles and he'll he a game breaker

You mention Rooster, what elite traits does he have?

Countless times he did that. Sometimes players just didn't execute well. Sometimes they did, and you saw good gains.

Lashlee needs depth. Can’t get the most out of players if their jobs aren't threatened.

Forgot who said it; but they said Lashlee needs to stop calling plays, and start scheming to our player’s strength. Right now, our biggest strength is our two headed monster. How many teams have two potential AA at that position?

Once we can figure how to create constant mismatches, we roll.

Elite traits.... high jumps 7’2”, 41 inch vertical, 4.42 laser timed 40 at the opening at 17 years old, back squats 600 pounds and 3.9 GPA in high school. I’m sure there’s a bunch more, but I won’t bother because some on here know someone bigger, faster and stronger that’s working at Walmart. 🤔 Can you guess this five star 💫
Guess the OP would prefer an elite nickname to scheme around.

When you get to the point where you have a competent OL and sufficient talent around it that the basics of the offense run okay, you get to progress to scheming for elite guys. It helps to have them. Scheme to elite guys is a different thing from scheme to the guys you got. All OCs need to do that, but when your guys are only 'elite' on your fan board, it's hard to do against other top teams.

We're making progress, but we got some ground to cover.

And don't disagree, OCs need to figure out how to make the most of their players and not force their players to their scheme.

we will never know anything if we keep practicing what we practice now... NOT WORKING change it up !

I have no idea. Genuinely curious. Does he play for us lol?

Yeah lol he’s the freshman running back that’s more elite than rooster. Also has better hands for pass catching and more elusive in space imho
Lol go. Ok, ok. I'm a Rooster guy but I also like Don. He showed alot. Keeping it 100 the reason I like Rooster more is just top end. You can't teach that it's a gift. But Don has that and everything else he does better, so far. And he's bigger. We're blessed tbh at RB with those 2. Its gonna be a fun 2 years

More top end 🤔
They’re both great. Don’s the most elite back we’ve had since Duke and Duke’s measurable’s didn’t get within a country mile of Don’s. Neither does Roosters fwiw Big difference between “like” and the thread title Elite Traits.

Rooster for sure is faster in a straight line. I'll die on that hill. Why we're arguing I dont know, I like both. All around Chaney is better. Rooster is faster imo long speed.

I said it in an early post. We don’t feed our studs. My reference was Deventa Smith who had 15 catches last night.

Guys like Brevin Jordan need the ball 10 a game minimum.

lashlee needs to feed the studs we have. No stud WR will want to come here to catch 3 passes a game.
