Will early enrolles that come in Jan 2016 counts towards 2015 or 2016? Or does the school have an option?

I believe the school has the option to count EE's to the previous year's class to achieve a class over 25.

We took 21 this year but 5 were EE which counted towards last years last years class which means we can have 9 count towards 2016s class. Maybe more cause of the sanctions. I think that is how it is done if IIRC.

They can count it towards 2015 if they want and if there is room to keep 2015's number at 25 or less. They have a choice.

I'm not sure all (or any) of the 5 EE's counted towards 2014. EE's can only can't towards a previous class if you have room left; if you had 25 in that class already then EE or not, they count towards the next class.

Anyone that keeps good track of this know how many of our 2015 EE's counted towards 2014?

I remember Dexter Williams saying if he could of enrolled early like he and Miami planned he would of counted towards the 2015 class.

I believe all 5 EE will count towards 2014. So we should have around 9 EE in 2016 that could count towards 2015 and allow us to take a total of 34.

We cannot count any of the this year's EEs towards last year's class because we signed a full class the year before.

Assuming we have 21 signings enroll for 2015, we can count 4 2016 EEs towards the 2015 class. We can enroll 29 guys in 2016 (and possibly sign more if we have nonqualifiers).

This is wrong.

1. We signed 26 kids last year.

2. 9 of them were EE's that counted towards 2013 class, which means we only had 17 count towards 2014

3. That means all of 2015's EE's can count towards 2014's class.

So, if we finish 2015's class with 21 total, 5 were EE, which = 16 that count towards 2015. That leaves us (approx) 9 possible EE's for 2016 that can count towards 2015

This is obviously +/- a couple, but the basic general math would be right.

Let me amend my statements, because they were wrong. We can theoretically sign more than 29.

At this time, we don't really know how many guys we will be able to enroll for 2016. We currently have 83 guys on scholarship and 13 seniors. However, we know that in the next year we will have guys transfer/dismissed (and if the last few years w/ Golden are any indication, it will be a higher than average number). Still, for instance, we would need 10 transfers/dismissals/juniors declare for the draft just to allow us to enroll 25 total guys for 2016 (EEs and regular enrollees).

So, can we sign more than 30 guys in 2016 and have a bunch count towards 2015? Yes. Is it realistic? Not unless we have an awful lot of guys leave the program in the next year.

we can take up to 34 going by our yearly scholarship limits, however, there is no way we come close to that number. 25-27 seems more realistic. We currently have 83 guys on scholarship with 14 of them seniors. That leaves 16 open slots. There is always attrition, but no way 18 guys are leaving the program to make room for 34. 8-10 guys seems realistic and about the average number of guys that leave the program early on a yearly basis.

Hypothetically if graduating SR is the only attrition then we would have 70 available scholly which would mean 2016 would be restricted to 15 kids which would take the scholly number back to 84
