Is playing great baseball right now. They have won 10 of 11 and are especially tough at home. They swept UNC at home. Yes I know UNC is down this year but still sweeping them is a good accomplishment. They lost 2 of 3 at home to UVA. Both losses by one run. Winning 2 of 3 this weekend would be good.

3-0 Miami top 1. 3 hits and hit batter to start the game. With Diaz pitching 3 could be enough to win the game.
 
The good news about beating Duke is that the worst part of their RPI (opponents' opponents' winning percentage) is the one part that won't be calculated into our RPI. Beating them has a nice, positive impact. #11 is definitely within reach this weekend.
 
Bunting struggles - 3 different at bats throughout the game unable to lay down the bunt.

Top 7 - Bases loaded, No outs, Top of the order Up!

6-1 Top 9.

Diaz gave up a deep shot. Called foul. Rebounds to strike him out. Pop up bunt. Strikes out the pinch hitter. 3 up/3 down in the 8th. Diaz at 103 after 8.

Carey reaches on error. Steals with 2 outs to get into scoring position for Collins. Duke gets out of the inning, but I like the call to send Carey.

- Hammond on for the 9th
- leadoff infield single, diving stop in the hole
- Strikeout looking - 1 out
- Double play to end it 1-6-3
