So, when we lose to them, will that be the nail in the coffin? I've watched a couple Duke games this year, including yesterday against Tulane, and don't be fooled by their record and the score yesterday. Tulane lost that game by not scoring a single point after 3 drives inside the Duke 15, giving Duke 9 points on 2 punts, one Duke returned for a TD (not a punt return, a muffed snap) and a safety with the snap over the punter's head. They threw an INT for a TD, muffed a punt at their own 20 that led to another TD. These were all, basically unforced errors. Now, defensively, Duke gave up 255 yards rushing to Tulane. Duke (the running back) should go for 255 himself against Duke. Without their best LB, TE (hurt) and some others to graduation, Duke is not good.

Now, with all that said, I have no doubt in my mind that they beat us tomorrow. On paper (or with a competent coach), we're 2 TDs (at least) better than Duke. If Golden's isn't shoved out on *** after they embarrass us in front of 18 people next Saturday night, I don't think he's ever getting fired.

Just to be clear:

Same as I said after the Louisville game, Nebraska is not a good team. They're going to have trouble against teams with any kind of attacking front. Their OL are flat-footed and their QB is a RB with a strong, but erratic arm. The ironic thing about Nebraska is they seemed to literally copy the game plan from Duke 2013.

I agree. Louisville is a 7-8 win team. Nebraska might win more because their OOC schedule and Big 10 schedule is a joke, but they're really not better than a 7 win team (with a real schedule). Duke, they'll win 7 games because their OOC schedule is a joke and the ACC is a joke, but, again, they're not a good team either.

We're going to beat Duke, so that won't be the nail in the coffin. But we'll Duke while giving up 35+ points and 400+ yards on defense. So the fuel will continue to get thrown on the fire.

If we do, we'll hear Fat Al, out of breath after the game, "That's a good team we beat over there. But, our guys really battled."

We'll beat Duke in a game where we make them look much better than they are. Then we'll have to suffer the insufferable and blind cheerleading that usual follows a win over a doormat of an opponent.

I don't think duke is good.

but everyone needs to stop looking at them as "duke" and start remembering them as a team coached by a real coach in David cutcliffe.

just like our team would be markedly better with a real coach with our talent same applies there. He is the kind of difference maker that bridges talent gap. Wish we had his twin

We've fallen so far, that on Duke's board, almost all of their fans think they'll beat us. Thanks, Fat Al.

lol yeah ok thinking we can beat a team with a winning record. You guys are delusional to think AG has what it takes to beat a highschool team with a winning record must less a college team like Duke.

"Bunker mentality"

Ya know, he's been spouting that line for a few yrs now. One can envision the players in the ole bunker, hands over their helmets, as they weather a storm of projectiles and loud booms. Then they wake up on the sideline, realizing they're in an opponents stadium and it's just fireworks and balloons after another TD, en route to another blowout loss.
