Duke best ever?

IMO Duke is not leaving early. He needs to fully develop (Durability is a major concern)and I think he loves the Canes and wants to leave a long legacy here and bring as many rings as he can to CG. With that being said right now he is not in the discussion of "Best Ever". I love Duke, I have the #8 jersey but he has a long long way to go to earn that title. Those other players played on better teams I get it. But they were dominate against any front. As one poster mentioned we are under utilizing Duke, I would love to see him in the slot with LBs on him. At his stature the only way he can become a high NFL pick is to show amazing versatility. I do think he is more versatile than those other guys but we need to see it. Hopefully that is apart of the plan.

Side Note; i wasn't born when Ottis was tearing up the college ranks but i've watch his highlights numerous times and the original #47 was a bad bad man. His jukes were amazing.

Ottis Anderson is a forgotten man. Big, strong, fast, great feet. Here's his tribute for his Miami hall of fame introduction. The clip at 1:10 looks Just like the McGahee screen pass vs. FSU

Right now Edge is the best... I'm 25 and started paying attention to Canes football in 97(Canes family)... The only thing to carrying our offense back then was Edge... When Edge went to the NFL Ricky was getting love before he showed up fat(I liked him too), but I always new Edge was going to be a beast... Beating UCLA in 98 still bring memories back... Edge carried the way and we played spoilers that day along with a few other teams allowing FSU to trip in the NC game only to lose to UTen... Anyway, Edge is the man... As of right now, I consider him the best back of all-time at the U...

Ottis' last TD of his career was the best individual play Ive ever seen from a UM running back. I wont ever forget it. Against the Gators, took on I think 6 or 7 defenders and just got into the endzone for the winning TD. He did this after 38 previous carries. Dude was a beast. That play is on the Hall of Fame vid.

Remember Ottis was the ONLY offensive weapon on that team that anyone had any respect for...every team was gunning for him.
