Good find Texcane (UM is hitting the lonestar state I see). He plays the nose but will need a Red shirt year to add some serious weight (his coach says he is up 290Lb now hopefully its good weight an not Texas BBQ). I see staff is going after the long and Lean types at DT that can slide out possibly to DE in the 3-4 front. I think this kid plays stiff but that can be worked on through S&C with mr. Swasey. I am surprised he appears stiff when running because he is a plays basketball for HS also, which usually translate into being more fluid on the FBfield. But overall I like UM putting a hit in the ring for this young man that way if miss on other targets we are not a stranger coming in late to recruit him.

Go Canes!

ETSN: You mentioned your two defensive linemen who are back. That includes D.J. Williams (6-4, 290; 2014), who really caught my eye last year. Do you expect him to be the anchor in the middle this year?

TQ: Yes. He’s 6-4, 290 and runs really good and has had a really good spring. Texas really liked him. He’s the one that’s drawing the double and freeing up the linebacker, freeing up D.J. Alexander (2014). He’s the one that’s been in the battles that we had last year. We’re expecting him to be even better than last year. We’re expecting him to mature and grow up and take charg

Reporting on recruits like this is the exact resason why Tex needs to go. Paranos adds value, Tex not so much.
