And expect them to suddenly become championship winners.

Simple concept I know, but the admin couldnt seem to figure this one out.

Either that, or they are telling us that we shouldnt expect greatness, which is a slap in the face.

after the U part 2, it was like fate butch would return. meanwhile, i guess we are going to sit through 9-10 wins a year for a decade

take a look at the football budgets that the "big boys " Clemson, Bama OSU and yes UGA.spend vs Miami, when Richt was at UGA he had 14 M to work with Kirby is working with 28M$ figure it out more dollars more success coaches , facilities, analysts,QC guys better S& C programs... . we are going to see the same teams in playoffs for the foreseeable future.
the have Cadillac resources, we have Chevy resources......

I think we will consistently win 8,9 maybe 10 for Richts tenure but Championships
no way we lack the $$$$ to climb to the top again

Sadly that is the position we now find ourselves in after Shalala decided to run the program into a ditch....no way we could afford to take a decade plus off and allow the rest of college football to leap forward so far.

Mark's a good guy. He is leaps and bounds better of a coach than Goldy or Shannon, but simply doesn't have the ability to hire the best....such as $2.5 million a year for the man who ***** slapped our offense around all night. He doesn't have the boo$ter $upport to land the most heralded OL in the nation (which would solve all kinds of issues with this squad).

Mark is home and probably happy as ****, but he has a young average staff for the most part, with no OC (sadly by choice) and no real urgency to realistically succeed at the very highest level. Not that he doesn't want to of course, he just doesn't have what he needs to overcome his own deficiencies. He also has a moral compass which isn't much valued over winning anymore.

Sucks, but it is what it is. I guess, on the somewhat of a bright side, if he ever does pull off the miracle against all these odds, it will be that much sweeter I guess.

Miami can come back but they have to WANT to.

Hiring Richt was a pool the whool over the eyes of simps move. “SEC coach with lots of wins!”.

Once we saw the staff he hired, it was obviously business as usual. A half measure to keep the fans quiet for a few years and hope we win the ACC at some point. Lipstick on a pig.

Of course they COULD, just won't.

What we are spending for a head coach now, upper echelon teams were spending 6-7 plus years ago while we were jerking off with a first time head coach and a Temple Owl.

Now assistants in some cases are making what Golden made here and we are like a farm system for them to move on to a school that will pay up.

Now 8-9 million a year for a head coach is not unheard of...we will likely pay that too....in 2025.

You don't need a helluva budget to hire the nuts & bolts (coordinators & position coaches).

James Franklin found Moorhead via the clinic circuit...Gundy found Yurcich on the internet...how much do y'all think those hires cost?

Of course you want to hire the "right fit", but that term can be overrated at times...y'all really think that Saban gets along with everybody on His coaching staff??

Now I'm not saying that Richt should go out there and hire lunatics like Zach Smith, but He does need to step outside of His comfort zone.
