Right. It was a promotion. It was a promotion to stop doing something which wasn't working.

It was a promotion that led to an offense that scored more points and gained more yards.

The popular belief on this board is that the AD walked into his office and forced him to hire an OC. That is what people want to believe, and what they want to believe can or will happen at Miami.

What actually happened was that in typical Mark Richt incrementalist fashion, it took him 5 years to arrive at the conclusion the rest of the world did 4 years earlier-- that his concepts and schemes had gone stale. That he wasn't at FSU anymore, where every 3rd or 4th play would be a house call when his superior athletes were too good to be stopped.

Yeah, I have no doubt the concept of a dedicated OC had reached his ears plenty, the same as it is now, but all this crap about the big, bad powers that be at UGA stormed the AD and ripped that playbook out of his hands and said, "this or the door, Mark" is 100% crap.

Georgia was a complete doormat when he took over and he had more than a decade of being completely untouchable by anybody around Athens. That is the fact. so no, there was no big scheme by the powers-that-be to take anything away from him. It was just an example of him taking too long to do what was obvious yet again.

Sorry fellas but you're wasting your time even more with the UM AD.

By the way, for all you Banner boys. You're lucky that Golden and Donofrio blew another lead against FSU or they would have survived the Clemson debacle and likely finished with the exact same record.

You realize the this AD, which is based in South Florida, one of the nation's most prolific weatherbelts just built an indoor practice facility. Let that sink end when it comes to your immediate call to action.
 
Suits only smile an bobble head in circle fashion to not show a yes or no , suits other job is to filter anything bad away so board of directors think all is well.

You’re right, it was a “friendly” convo. Is that what dad said during story time? It was obvious then, you can dress up story time anyway you want.
