Donna killed our canes but hey she wants to be off campus so she can't police the tailgating. Let's get rowdy. Home opener w/ bars in the stadium.

LOL! No Life is about as anti tailgate as it gets, and that army of public union banditti that they hire en masse to stare down and try to intimidate fans is beyond what any other stadium I have ever been in attempts.

everyone loved donna when she told the ncaa she would sue them .

Cause it was the first good thing she did for the football program in 10+ years.

I understand she's great for the university, before the Don Bailey Jr Jr's coming out da woodwerks. She could care less about football though.

No, not everyone loved Donna for the NCAA mess. It she didn't starve the football program and athletic department for funds, it would not have been so desperate as to give Shapiro all access. She is as culpable if not more culpable than anyone for what went down. That was conveniently brushed under the rug though. I mean there is a picture of her check in hand from that rat and she was acting president. Why wasn't she accountable. UHealth viva la fighting stethoscopes.

that's one of the stupidest ******* things i've ever read on this board. our athletic department runs like every other one in the country: on donations made directly and revenues generated by the athletic department. the university can't use a donation that isn't specifically given to athletics on athletics or it risks losing federal funding. if a donor shows up with checks as big as shapiro does and they are clean (which he was on paper), then you'd be stupid not to take the check. on top of that, the university forfeited the money when his ponzi scheme was exposed. every major program has boosters that give as much or more than shapiro and receive inside access. the only difference between him and every other booster, is that he happened to have been running a con to get his money and was busted. do some research before making some ignorant-*** comment on something that you clearly know nothing about.

You are the ignorant one. She pumps out all of the money from the athletic program and runs it strictly off donations. The profits it generates are far bigger than the donations it recieves u dumb ****. There are no restrictions on spending the money that the athletic department earns. The school won't share names or emails with the hurricane club because they believe there is one pot of money (if somebody gives to the hurricanes club they won't give to the general university fund). Let that sink in. Even Famu is pushing for stadium renovations on campus, not us.

do you realize that the money generated has to be used to pay for the other sports too? a significant chunk of our football revenue (that includes our tv deal, bowl revenue, and shared conference bowl revenue) goes to pay for our stadium lease, non-revenue men's sports, and women's sports (to comply with title ix). the athletic department doesn't have a huge profit margin after you factor all of that in. what remains from that pool + donations is what we have to work with. our athletic department isn't a financial juggernaut, primarily because we don't make enormous profits from our home games because we don't own our stadium.

That's A ******* bingo. If we invested In a stadium we would make the dough to compete . Instead it is blead the department for all it is worth. Than you for making my point Mensa member. The land that was just sold down south would have been a perfect stadium.

everyone knows that a stadium would solve a lot of our problems. no one denies that, but the feasibility isn't there at any piece of land that we own currently. the land that sold by the zoo has zero infrastructure around it that could support stadium traffic. that land already has enough issues having some shopping put on it. zero chance that it would've been approved for a stadium. again, do some research on topics before you comment on them or you'll keep looking like a ******* idiot.

What's wrong w tropical park. The money the school got for the metro land could have started a nice slush fund for that u clown. U sound like the admin and folden. All excused no answers. If athletics were a priority there would be a stadium or at least a campaign to raise funds for it. Why hasn't anything been announced. If it would solve problems as you say, why not start somewhere?

first, i like that you keep moving the goalposts when you're proven wrong. but to answer about tropical park, that's because it's land that's owned by the city. personally, i want a stadium there. that's the only place that is close enough to campus that can handle the traffic with minimal improvements to infrastructure. the problem is that we would have to convince the city to sell that land, and it wouldn't come cheap. raising money in stadium planning is the easy part. getting the necessary permits and satisfying the right politicians is what makes it difficult.
