What makes you think the staff told him to gain weight?

I was thinking on the stretch play where he pulled, had he been 30 pounds lighter he could have sprung Harris for a bigger gain. He wasn't quite fast enough to get the block on their CB.

I really doubt the staff is coaching him up by telling him “hey let’s get you to a solid four hundo, destroy your conditioning and also play passive as often as possible. Oh and try not to hurt anyone.”

Donaldson by his experience alone should be a leader on this team and the offensive line. That personnel group has a serious leadership and experience problem.

Don't know how you can call this anything but flat out laziness by Donaldson. Diaz and his staff should have dealt with this in the Spring. These kids still need guidance. It's ultimatum time simple as that. This kid was one of the top prospects in the nation, everybody wanted him. Three years later this is the result. No leadership coming from anywhere to get this kid on track.
