They’re not tanking for Manning. They’re not tanking at all. They have to be bad to clear their payroll from some of the worst contracts ever given. Next year’s draft is supposed to be loaded. They already have 8 picks and added another for 2028 with the Ewers trade. It’s another hard rebuild for Miami. Hopefully Sullivan is a **** of a lot better than Grier at building a team.

Miami will win less than 4 games, secure a top 3 pick and then trade with a team who wants to move up for Manning or Moore. They will collect four extra picks and add a dozen more young talented players to the roster. But again it all depends on the new front office. Since Stephen Ross hired them, I’m not overly confident.

But they can start by drafting Jeremiah Smith or Leonard Moore.

You trade outta their 3rd/4th position Jeremiah will be gone— depends on who they trade with obviously has to be a 2 or 3 spots down kinda thing- if they move below 7th neither of those players are gonna be available

I think we'll pick top 5 but I doubt they'd trade it.

Im with you -- Smith, Moore, or Dylan Stewart. Unless Willis gets injured, he's the QB for the foreseeable future.

Trading out of their original spot and drafting Smith is an “or” not an “and”. Sorry I didn’t make that clear. If they trade out of their spot, they will get an extra one and two for 2027, and a one for 2028. If they don’t trade out, they can either take Smith or Moore.
 
I don't really follow the Fins.
In fact, I was a Steelers' fan growing up in Miami during the 1970s, but always respected the
Fins' franchise and especially Don Shula and many of his players.
It's a shame what has become of that franchise.
The previous LuluMon wearing HC looked like a dweeb who came from a Starbucks after his morning pilates
and the current players seem too relaxed on the sidelines.
I know it's preseason, but I see too many players cutting it up behind the coaches working the games, as if
they are veterans of a Super Bowl winning squad.
They are a joke.
 
It’s been a quarter of a century of front office ineptitude. It’s very hard to stay invested when Miami has:

1) The worst roster on paper since they were a year one expansion franchise

2) It will be at least three seasons before they can do anything meaningful.

Or having a complete lack of skill position talent, so they draft a defensive tackle and wait until the 5th round to draft a wide receiver.

Or spending three first round picks, two second round picks, and a third round pick in four years on the HB position.

Or spending five second round picks in six years on the quarterback position, with only one of those picks lasting more than two seasons.

Needed a backup QB so they used the Ewers pick to get a better option. McCord was coached under the Dolphins' pass-game coordinator in Philly. I think the Dolphins GM signed him in GB before he was hired too.

We’re so devoid of talent that we need to trade down multiple times in the 2027 and 2028 drafts. Here’s a projection for next year.
