It was a downpour for 2.5 quarters with a UCL repair of 7-8months throwing a heavy ball. They also can’t drop 8 when we love to run. I expect 11 with 8 yardsBeck didn’t look good last game - dropping 8 against him would worry me. I feel like this is going to be a push forward run game.

Key Elements of Tony White's 3-3-5 Defense
How the Scheme Works in Practice
- Flexibility:The 3-3-5 base allows for the scheme to morph into traditional looks and creates diverse formations, making the defense less predictable for offenses.
- Aggression and Chaos:The defense aims to create chaos for opposing offenses by bringing pressure from different angles and disguising blitzes to keep quarterbacks uncomfortable.
- Player Versatility:The scheme requires athletic linebackers and secondary players who can transition between rushing the passer, stopping the run, and dropping into coverage.
- Hybrid Roles:Safeties are often used to bring pressure, acting as hybrid linebacker/safety roles, while linebackers must be adept at rushing and covering.
- Matchup-Specific Adjustments:White's defense employs both odd (three-down) and even (four-down) fronts, adapting to opponent strengths, such as using more even fronts against teams with multiple tight ends.
- Conceptual Understanding:White's defensive philosophy emphasizes teaching players concepts rather than memorizing individual responsibilities, allowing for a more adaptable and intelligent defense.
- Fronts:The base is a 3-3 front (three down linemen, three linebackers) but can morph into a four-down front by shifting linemen.
- Pressure and Coverage:The defense can utilize various pressure combinations, including dropping eight defenders into coverage with only three rushers, or bringing six rushers with one dropping into coverage.
- Secondary Adjustments:The secondary players are responsible for adjusting to formations, allowing the front seven to maintain a consistent box structure.
- Strategic Disguise:The defense uses creative blitzes and coverage looks to confuse offenses and create mismatches.

Patience check downs ability to run at willBeck didn’t have a great game in a downpour. They can drop 8 lol. The intermediate routes and lofton could have a huge game.
Yeah and it's junk. They generated no pass rush and got killed in the run game. On run plays how do they stop us and on pass plays how does Beck not have 10 seconds to find a receiver?
Yep , people hear 3-3-5 they think that’s a small defense or there’s a numbers advantage . But it can as easily be a 4-2-5 with that LB on the edge. It’s just another way of giving more looks , it’s not that serious. They run a 3-3-5 but it’s it the 1996 West Virginia stack with three linemen and three linebackers behind them. One linebacker is just an edge/pass rush guy and one safety is a hybrid rover/linebacker. They don’t line up any different than most teams in the modern game.
#9 is the key player. Teams want to drop in 2 and 3 deep soft zone and keep players around the line to help with the run. This opens up room for #9 to get to work in the open field. Dawson already using the RB's a ton. Brown has been good catching the ball. Beck and Dawson are going to feast.Patience check downs ability to run at will
Good formula
