Yes, just like any other AD (with few exceptions Bama, Clemson, etc) there is a short list of names that you have at the ready. Despite comments on here to the contrary, in my estimation this announcement did not come as surprise to Blake James. If anything this was probably negotiated several days ago and the timing of the announcement would be made after the 2 playoff games.
It would not surprise me if several inquires have already been made to gauge interest.
