Morale implications
Recruiting implications
This game put Miami back where it belongs
 
About 2005 or so, was the realization that something was wrong, it was a slow trip of **** to mediocrity, then worse, irrelevancy.

It was like an endless storm, climaxing against Clemson.

When Richt got hired, I thought, "Best hire we reasonably could've got."

And it's true.

It's great to have a well coached team that wins, full of good young men with guts.

It's great to be relevant. It's even better be feared.

Tomorrow, we will show college football why should be feared.

But dawg, if you became a fan in 2005, I kinda get it, and I also owe you a little respect and maybe even an apology. You have known nothing but mediocrity. Us old timey Canes understand mediocrity, but we merely persevered through the low points. We have always known what our team is capable of because we've been there and seent it. You haven't.
