The school has 3 choices-

1. Fire Blake and Manny, and hope that you can find a great coach. The problem is that most available coaches are going to see a school churning through coaches. The only way you get a great coach in that scenario is with a home run AD.

2. Fire Blake and keep Manny. Have an intermediate view and hope that the new AD will pressure and accelerate Manny’s learning curve as head coach. If not, he’ll have a chance to hire his own guy if Manny can’t remedy.

3. Take the long view. See how Manny finishes the season. Keep Blake and Manny. See where the chips fall after the 2020 season.

I’m fine with choice 1 or 2.
