From PFF:
DT Gerald Willis: 55 snaps / 78.8 grade
DE Jonathan Garvin: 59 snaps / 76.3 grade
DE Joe Jackson: 59 snaps / 64.1 grade
DT Pat Bethel: 53 snaps / 55.4 grade
DT Jonathan Ford: seven snaps / 62.7 grade
DE Scott Patchan: ten snaps / 59.4 grade
DT Tito Odenigbo: 15 snaps / 56.3 grade
DE Demetrius Jackson: eight snaps / 36.5 grade
It's pretty concerning that Ford/Tito only combined for 22 snaps, when you consider how poorly Bethel played. There was a lot of hype surrounding these two (ahem, @brock ), but both of them shoulda got more snaps if they were capable of contributing.
It's a little strange Demetrius only got 8 snaps. Especially when you consider we like to slide him inside on 3rd down (not sure if that happened vs LSU). Any word of an injury that I missed?
The PFF comments:
Willis graded out as one of the better defensive tackles in the country during week one (the 17th best in the country) and particularly impressed PFF with his pass rushing, earning a 90.6 pass rush grade. Willis was credited with four quarterback pressures, which led the team…Of the players on defense who played a minimum of 10 snaps, Bethel received the worst grade from PFF. The website gave Bethel a 56.2 pass rushing grade…Starting defensive end Jonathan Garvin and Joe Jackson didn’t have the most effective pass rushing performance. The two players combined for four quarterback hurries on 45 pass rushing snaps…Garvin did, however, impress PFF with his run defense, earning a 78.9 run defense grade.
