Playing Devil's Advocate here, but does everyone have short-term memories? Was the hiring of Richt 3 years ago not applauded by the majority of fans and the pundits of college football as a whole? Okay, the BBB crowd knew all along, but they know everything right?

Weren't we as fans finally happy that the administration was paying top dollar (over $4 million a year) for a "real" coach? That being said, did the administration do us "fans" so wrong in that they haven't fired Richt yet? Should he have been fired after his first season when winning the first bowl here in over 10 years? Should he have been fired after leading the Canes to their first Coastal Division title last year?

My point is up until this season, when should Richt have been fired? The administration may have made a bad hire. It happens. However, at least it wasn't done on the cheap nor out of negligence. Of course, this is a definite step back this season, but does anyone realistically think he should have been gone by now? To the point that the administration has "wronged" you so badly?

Btw, for those advocating the harassment of Richt and his family like what occurred to Golden (i.e. ordering multiple pizza orders to his house and such), do you think that would make the hiring of a better coach an easier proposition? If you were a prospective coach, would you want to go to an area where there is the real possibility of harassment to your family if things go south?

Just got off the phone with the tix office after 16 mins of waiting lol and I was obviously asked the reasoning and I told her the list was too long. Anyways, I was told that I couldn’t get a refund but it could be credited if I opt back in. That the money already paid would go as a student donation.

Let me know if you hear different.

So basically stealing your money as those seats will be available to re-sell. LOL, I sent the email yesterday, still waiting. Going to ask about relocation and credits too

So she tried to convince me that my passion for Hurricanes football and the intimate experience with the suite far outweighs the losses and also threw in how football is always up and down. Anyway, same explanation, I can cancel future payments and the grand I've already paid will be a future credit. I asked about relocation to a cheaper area and got the same answer. Anything extra will be on my account as a future credit. LOL

Hoping for some major changes this summer but not expecting it. Until then, yes I will follow because of th kids, but Richt has killed my excitement 😡😡.

Hopefully the tix office doesn’t try to keep some of the $ I already paid for 2019.

Shalala that pos pretty much destroyed the footballl program . Miami AD needs to figure things out or he should be gone too . I don’t give a fck how we win . We need **** kiffen
 
As I stated in another thread. Richts buyout should not be an issue. The amount of money this program will be losing over the next three years will surpass the money we would save by keeping him. Richt is in over his head, there is absolutely nothing to suggest he turns this **** around. Everybody and I mean EVERYBODY from alumni to the media and all the fans are all screaming, what the **** is this guy doing. We just scored 39 points in 3 games against 3 of the worst college football programs in the last decade. Do you know how hard that is? I’m furious and have never hated a coach from any sport as much as I do him. He makes me want to go to sleep during a football game. Cut the cord ASAP.

Let me see.. his offense is still complete s-hit in year 3. He constantly shifts the blame on the players and not himself. The '19 recruiting class has gone to complete s-hit and will be surprised if it finishes in the top 20. He hired his son, who has no experience with QBs, to be the QB coach. No surprise it's one of the team's weakest position groups. He got in a bidding war for Searels, who is the coach of the worst position group on the team. The OC he hired doesn't know jack s-hit about calling plays or creating a proper game plan for opponents. To answer your question, Richt is a c-unt and shouldn't of been allowed on the team airplane after the BC game.

The other two and I suffered through three loses the last three games we all attended together. The last game in OB; K-State game when their Q ran all over us (My college teammate's son went to K-State, and we sat in their section, brutal) and of course, last year's turkey shoot at the ACC Title Game.

My son's 18 and I made him be a Cane fan. I grew up in Miami, but live in the Atlanta area and have some experienced good and bad games together, some wins and losses against GT, took him to Chicago for the ND game and to Miami for the ND game last year. Our last game together was the Clemson game last year, following that debacle, I told myself that I'm done spending money to watch this team play. I'm not even attending the GT game this year, both my kids are at UGA, headed over to Athens this weekend to tailgate instead.

I've just had it with this mediocrity, the collapse at the end of last year sealed it for me. I hoped Richt would be different, but he isn't, he's just more of the same.

I am certainly happy I didn't jump on the renewal offer earlier this year. I've had my seats a while but I've honestly been considering not renewing for next season. I just can't justify spending that money every week to see them lose to Duke.

It is not just the $$$ we would lose over the next three years.... it is also the cost of digging out of that hole after he has demolished the program... the dollars /time it takes to get it back on the rails....
.... and if you want to push the opportunity cost angle... bringing it to where we could be if we had cut the cancer out right now before metastasizes further

I loved how a few fans took offense to my post last week. Fans shouldn't waste their hard earned money on this program until the product improves. Since trends are a thing, they would be better off getting a new hobby.
